Break down:
The song you hear if Tokyo by Athlete.

We meet Patrick and find out a little about him and what makes him tick.

Then Josh brings up the “Love Takes Balls” campaign. He then brings up that he has been a person of the second chance and wonders if they should tell some stories to connect people to the idea of it all.
Cameron goes first.
Then Patrick.
Josh rounds it out with 2 stories, because he needs lots of chances.

Then after that whole talk we touch on whether churches should hand out voters guides and what it means to do it.
Of course Patrick gets giddy because we are talking politics for a sec. Cameron has some interesting thoughts on the subject and Josh does a “Both/And” speech.

Awkward Moment ensues…

Then we talk about music:
Josh has been listening to a lot of Frank Sinatra. As a sidenote Josh would like to recommend that you get the new cd from Above the Golden State [iTunes Link], stinking sweetness.
Cameron does not like Frank very much btw. He likes Travis Barker Dj Am project, as well as BookaShade and GirlTalk
Patrick brings the NPR pain with his choice of “Tv on the Radio“.

We then talk about the downfall of muxtape and the anger it causes Josh that it got shut down. Cameron brings to mind another site just like muxtape which is http://mixwit.com.

It has now become the tech pick of the day. Lifeshare comes up because it is all over the place. We are on the fence about this still. Struggling with whether this could be authentic community or voyeur jesus.

Peace in the Middle East.

Well we just finished an awesome time talking with Sean P. Salter. We still have no idea why he decided to talk to us except that he might think we are as cool as him.

With that Josh took us down a rabbit trail stating, “Why would someone want to come to church just to hear a music?”
Too which no real answer was given.
Josh calls Sean “Long Winded”.

Sean then comes back around to talk about helpful tips to make working at a church safer and easier for your creative team.

We then touch on the topic of people stealing designs from Sean and passing them off as their own.
Josh had a miss with zoecity.com [seriously]

Then there is a bunch of rambling and stuff with which we can not decipher.

Halloween and VIPMINISTRY was mentioned, that’s all we are gonna say about that.

We then learn what Sean is going to be up to in the near future.

It was an honor to chill with Sean and there will be a second episode.

We introduced Paul Carlson to the show. He illuminates why Casting Crowns is on the worst band list. Paul discusses why he thinks Collide is a miss.

Paul then launched into what he lovingly called the “Phillips, Craig and Dean Syndrome” not to be confused with “The Thomas Syndrome” in which he settles the score on bands taking other bands songs and calling them their own. Building 429, he’s coming after you.

Josh then goes into talk about some of the awesome mail (65% good + 35% not so good = fun times) we got about the collide magazine hit or miss section. He also talks directly to Scott the editor about the subject that Scott-Man emailed about.

Mancrushes: Josh says it’s a hit and his man crush is Mike Rowe. Cameron does not dig the Mike action but does have a mancrush on Mark Wahlberg, to which we grunted an agreement. Paul again stated that he has a mancrish on Glen Phillips. Who knew?

Twitpic: Josh says it is a freaking hit. Cameron agreed and so does Paul. Booyah. Sign up and use it.

Sermonspice: Paul brings up SS as a miss. Josh stays out of it for the most part. Cameron agrees that Sermonspice is a big miss when it comes to site performance.

Chad talks about a funny story about “the holy land experience” and an L.A. freeway from Dan Kimball. Which leads into the question, “Did Jesus ride dinosaurs?” And if so why does he need to have a bit in the dinosaurs mouth.

We hash out the new Coldplay album. Josh also goes into depth about how he slapped the professr in the face for not immediately loving the cd.

A churches reaction to the podcast with Dan Rhoten

We alighted on the “Christian Porn” subject which made us hanker for some good ol fashioned WTH with what where they thinking. To which Chad brought up the atheist John Scalzi in reference to my wanting to send themishmash to it to take some spy pictures.

We then discussed the adage “Drinking the KoolAide” which was clarified by Chad as a reference to Jim Jones’ cult.

Cool tech in church, anybody seen anything cool on the horizon spot had Chad bringing up Carlos Whittaker’s Creative Chaos, Tony Morgan and Kem Meyer as people you should read when it comes to killing the communications noise at your church.

We both talked about an artist that we liked.
