Listen to our Muxtape for this week at
Christian Music Sucks

We tested a sweet tool called talkshoe which essentially allows us to have a talk show online with each other as well as having callers like you calling in to talk. While we didn’t have any calls we still had a radical time testing it out. And then we went to the Delirious concert at the House of Blues in Anaheim.

We introduced Paul Carlson to the show. He illuminates why Casting Crowns is on the worst band list. Paul discusses why he thinks Collide is a miss.

Paul then launched into what he lovingly called the “Phillips, Craig and Dean Syndrome” not to be confused with “The Thomas Syndrome” in which he settles the score on bands taking other bands songs and calling them their own. Building 429, he’s coming after you.

Josh then goes into talk about some of the awesome mail (65% good + 35% not so good = fun times) we got about the collide magazine hit or miss section. He also talks directly to Scott the editor about the subject that Scott-Man emailed about.
Some twitter traffic from the Collide boys:
Scott Mcclellan:

Rob Thomas (btw Rob, who do you know?):

Matt Stanley:

Allan White:

Clint Miller:

Point of reference for all companies out there: If what you are doing needs no adjustment to do it better, please allow us to retrieve your head from your butt. You can always do better ( US TO ).

As time goes on we had Cameron call in and he intros himself. Also we talk about some bands we like.

Josh talks about Chris Thile and his new project, “Punch Brothers”.
Cameron talks about “The Postal Service“.
Paul cuts him off in order to talk about Glen Phillips.

Then Cameron pulls out his ole days favs: Spiritualized and Moguai.
Paul talks about Vertical Horizon, Sister Hazel and Toad the Wet Sprocket.

Hit or Mrs:
Mancrushes: Josh says it’s a hit and his man crush is Mike Rowe. Cameron does not dig the Mike action but does have a mancrush on Mark Wahlberg, to which we grunted an agreement. Paul again stated that he has a mancrish on Glen Phillips. Who knew?

Twitpic: Josh says it is a freaking hit. Cameron agreed and so does Paul. Booyah. Sign up and use it.

Sermonspice: Paul brings up SS as a miss. Josh stays out of it for the most part. Cameron agrees that Sermonspice is a big miss when it comes to site performance.

Manbabies.com: Cameron drops the bomb on you and us with manbabies.com. Get some.

Get Better Artist:
Shawn Mcdonald. Just listen.

    Suckiest Sucky Podcast yet. ;-)

Josh, I do applaud your editing skills. Big thumbs up on keeping it under the one-hour mark.

Cameron, thank you for the publicly-extended olive branch. We’re good. :-)

Thank you all for giving me the name credit I so clearly deserve.

    Manbabies. Creepiest. Thing. Ever.

Twitpic. Awesome for surreptitiously taken pics of celebrities. Not so awesome for pics of the screen and movie plot updates every five minutes.

Phone thing. Meh. Kinda hard to understand, particularly Cameron. I had to listen three times to figure out why I am ticked at him, and I already know why.

Love you guys, but it’s not the same without Chad the Maagnificent.

Love the podcast - you guys discuss some really great issues and are real about them. RelevantMagazine.com has a feature article on Faith and Film - it kind of mirrors what you guys were talking about with films - 3 Kings and 300. Keep the podcasts coming!
